So…I decided to redesign a few old-school “Masters of the Universe” characters, and see what I could come up with as far as updated, more serious designs…Possibly something more film oriented. It is my FIRM belief that if you DID produce this kind of movie (the 80’s version notwithstanding), it could definitely work if you could somehow do away with the over-abundance of cartoony CHEESE. You can make the characters and story believable and real while still keeping true to the essence of the original property. Though I will say...any character that wears a rotating eye helmet takes somewhat of a stretch of the imagination to be believable. ;-) The key is to keep the "visual fiction" consistent within the characters and world, so that it doesn't appear out of the ordinary.
